Pull-Ups FAQ

Pull-Ups® are designed to make potty training easier. with unique learning features that provide children with the protection they need whilst promoting independence.

  1. Learning layer: A unique blue layer on the inside of the pant. This briefly mimics the feeling of wet underwear, enabling them to learn wet from dry.
  2. Wetness Indicator: This fades when wet encouraging little ones to stay dry whilst also providing parents with a tool to identify if the child has had an accident.
  3. Disney© graphics: Fun Disney© graphics that little ones love to wear. These graphics signal to the child that they are starting an exciting new stage helping them feel like the Big Kid they are becoming.
  4. Super stretchy sides: Enables little ones to practise pulling pants up and down all by themselves just like real underwear

When it comes to achieving night time dryness this cannot be trained, this is simply the reality of a child’s anatomical development. The nerve pathways between the bladder and the brain must grow strong enough to awaken the child from a deep sleep. For night time training overnight protection and consistency is key and Huggies® Pull-Ups® Night-Time are designed with that in mind.

  1. The learning layer is replaced with extra absorbency to ensure a good night's sleep.
  2. Wetness Indicator: Enabling parents to identify if the child has wet overnight.
  3. Disney© graphics: Fun Disney© graphics enables little ones to stay feeling like a big kid day and night!
  4. Super stretchy sides: Enables little ones to practise pulling pants up and down all by themselves just like real underwear.

  2. Wetness Indicator: This fades when wet, encouraging little ones to stay dry whilst also providing parents with a tool to identify if the child has had an accident.
  3. Disney© graphics: Fun Disney© graphics that little ones love to wear. These graphics signal to the child that they are starting an exciting new stage helping them feel like the Big Kid they are becoming.

Core to potty training success is child engagement. By utilising Disney© across the portfolio we are able to maximise the potential of this. Children love to wear their favourite characters- helping them feel like the Big Kid they are becoming and helping them to understand that they are starting a new exciting milestone- in their new big boy/girl pants. This is reinforced by their parents also with our designs being one of the most significant drivers of preference vs. substitutes including nappy pants.

The key difference is the design. Potty training is the developmental milestone in which children develop self-awareness (that they are in charge of their own body) and independence (that they are their own person in charge of their own decisions). At this age children become conscious of the physical differences between boys and girls and will start to demonstrate preferences aligned to this. Aligning our product position through gender specific products enables us to deliver a step change in child engagement – crucial for potty training success and their development. The importance of this is proven by the fact that design is one of the key drivers of overall preference.

Our Huggies ® Pull- Ups® Night-time is actually more absorbent than a nappy pant – holding an average of 7 wees. Huggies® Pull-Ups® Day time holds approximately 4.

No.

As a business, we are committed to ensuring that both our products and packaging are sustainably sourced & produced. Across our EMEA business we are always looking for opportunities to improve our packaging in line with our Packaging Sustainability Targets. These targets are aligned with those seen across the UK FMCG sector and our commitment has been publicly demonstrated by our recent joining of the WRAP Plastic Pact. We feel that our Pull-Ups packaging is currently aligned with these targets. Our corrugated boxes (secondary Packaging) are FSC compliant and contain recycled paper content and our LDPE film (primary packaging) can be recycled at larger store with carrier bags, it is currently the only recyclable film in the UK.

Primary component of Pull-Ups® is non-woven materials.

Yes. LDPE film can be recycled at larger stores with their carrier bag recycling stream, we are also seeing increasing number of councils accepting this film through kerbside collections. Cardboard is widely recycled.
